Healing Herbs & Buddhist Monasteries of the Himalayas: This
is a unique and one of the most popular programs organized exclusively by us.
Participation in this program has been growing year after year. Doctors, pharmacists,
botany students and even the general public having interest in knowing about herbs join
this program with great enthusiasm.
In this program we are accompanied by a Tibetan Medicine Doctor with whom we camp for four days at Marrhi pass, located in the foothills of the Himalayas near Manali. There we study medicinal plants of which more than 500 varieties could be found growing in the region. One could also see Yaks in and around the place.
In Ladakh and Keylong located not far from Marrhi, one could witness traditional Tibetan
Buddhist and ethnic cultures untouched by modernity. The places abound in centuries-old
religious institutions, spectacular monasteries and frescoes dating as far back as the
17th century. The number of participants in this program is limited to 14.
